To allocate your booking, we need you to first please acknowledge our very dull, but important Customer Terms and Conditions. 


This is a contract between the interpreter and you, the customer. WordsWorth (WW) administers the contract and collects payments. Important! Cancellation fees vary. Cancellations within the first 24 business hours of the job start time is 100% charge. Cancellations within 24 - 72 business hours of the job start time is 50% charge. Cancellation after 72 business hours of the job start time is 0% charge.

CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER: Once an interpreter is booked for your job, s/he cannot accept other work for that time period. If you cancel, s/he has missed out on other earning opportunities. Cancellations within the first 24 business hours of the job start time is 100% charge. Cancellations within 24 - 72 business hours of the job start time is 50% charge

SAFETY OSH: Safety Osh requires the customer to provide a safe working environment. This includes suitable standing or seating (ideally, upright chairs without arms). Solo interpreters must have breaks of at least 5 minutes for every 25 minutes of interpreting. If a person involved in the interpretation is potentially at risk or may make a legal disclosure, the interpreter shall not be left alone with that person.

CANCELLATION BY INTERPRETER: If the interpreter needs to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, WW will firstly try to provide another interpreter. If not, then you will be notified, and no charge will be made. WW is not liable for any costs or losses to the customer.

EXTRA TIME: Interpreters are paid on a time-charge basis. If a job goes for longer than the booked time, the customer automatically undertakes to pay for the cost of this time. Any extra time charges will be added to your invoice. Please note that interpreters may have other bookings to attend and may have to leave promptly at the end of the allocated time.

ETHICS: The interpreter is bound by the SLIANZ Code of Ethics. This includes treating all interpreting as confidential. The interpreter is ethically required to interpret everything that is said or signed, unless asked to leave the room.

PERFORMANCE: The customer may need to provide the interpreter with preparation material for background knowledge, especially for legal or technical interpreting. WW is not liable for any inaccuracies in interpretation.

FEES: You agree to pay for WW for services provided according to our fee schedule at the time of the booking. You may request a quote by text or email. Please note that the fee schedule includes rates for travel time, preparation, and after-hours work in addition to the normal hourly rate. The interpreter can also claim actual costs such as parking, flights etc.

DISPUTES: WW will administer dispute resolution between the interpreter and the customer in good faith. If no resolution is achieved, the dispute will be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration Act.
